ABOUT

Open4Business Expo returns with new theme and venue for 2019

This year the Open4Business event will focus on ‘Skills and Apprenticeships’, reflecting one of the key themes of the Mid Sussex District Council’s Economic Development Strategy for 2018-2031. The event will combine an exhibition, networking opportunities and a speaker programme to engage and inform local businesses on starting, expanding and improving their apprenticeship and skills provision.

The event is open to all Sussex businesses from start-ups to corporates, who will have the chance to exhibit at the show and network with other companies and service providers. There will also be a programme of talks delivered by expert speakers, who will cover topics including:

  • The benefits of running an apprenticeship scheme

  • Busting myths about apprenticeships

  • The skills gap: what is it and how do we solve it?

  • STEM skills: why are they so important?

  • How to up-skill and re-skill your workforce to adapt to the modern business environment

  • The power of nurture: how to train and empower your workforce to perform to their best
